Øystein Lund Bø is the new President for NORDTEK

Øystein Lund Bø succeed Johan Tysk as NORDTEK President

Øystein Lund Bø has an educational background with a PhD in physics from the University of Oslo and as an electronics-engineering bachelor’s degree from Stavanger University College. His professional career includes employments in research institutes and in the energy industry.

His scientific work has been oriented on the development of electromagnetic flow sensors, mathematical modelling of dynamic processes for drilling and well technology, and on renewable energy.

Throughout his carrier, Bø has had various leadership roles in research institutes, industry and academia. Since 2013, he has been Dean at the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Stavanger (UiS). The faculty covers both natural sciences and engineering disciplines with about 400 employees and close to 3,000 students and seven departments.
