At the Annual Meeting in Turku, the NORDTEK Rector Meeting elected Professor Ólafur Pétur Pálsson as President 2025-2027 and President Elect 2024-2025. Professor Pálsson research field is Statistics and Stochastic modelling often applied in energy related topics.
He is:
- Vice president of the University Council at University of Iceland.
- Member of the Board of the University Graduate School
- Chair of the Graduate Study Committee, Faculty of Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science.
- Member of the Committee of Education, Association of Chartered Engineers in Iceland.
Professor Palsson has also been a member of the NORDTEK Board of Directors and long experience of Nordic and international cooperation.
