On 23 September, Johan Ölvander, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, and Ólafur Pétur Pálsson, President of NORDTEK, signed an agreement to host the NORDTEK secretariat at Linköping University for the next five years.
This marks a new era for NORDTEK. Since 1997, the secretariat has effectively been carried by the Secretary General, Peter Göransson, who has been the heart and soul of NORDTEK for more than a quarter of a century. On behalf of NORDTEK, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to Peter for his invaluable contributions over these many years.
The new Secretary General, Mathias Henningsson, has now taken over and will be supported by a strong and capable team at Linköping University. The new board, of which more than half the members are newly appointed, held its first meeting at Linköping University on the same day in September. Among other topics, the board discussed how NORDTEK can create the greatest value for its member universities. This important discussion will continue in the coming months.
