Conference, University Tour, and Medieval Dinner
On November 20, board members attended the Empowering Youth in Technology conference, which explored the role of youth in technological development. The event offered inspiration and opportunities to build new connections. In the afternoon, participants toured the campus of Tallinn University of Technology to learn about the university’s facilities and advancements.
In the evening, the group gathered at Olde Hansa restaurant to enjoy medieval cuisine and its unique atmosphere. The informal setting allowed board members to get to know each other better and strengthen international collaboration.
Discussions and a Visit to the Student Formula Team
The final day of the meeting, November 21, was dedicated to board discussions. The members addressed challenges in higher education across different countries and shared ideas on how student representatives can help resolve these issues. Each board member presented their university’s perspective and shared best practices that could be adopted elsewhere. The day also included an overview of NORDTEK working group activities and discussions about future plans.
To wrap up, the participants visited FS Estonia, the student formula team, where they explored workshops and learned about the latest technical developments.
New Ideas and Future Plans
As the meeting concluded, the board members returned to their home countries with fresh ideas and plans. Preparations also began for the next major event—the NORDTEK conference, scheduled for June 11–13, 2025, in Vilnius. The theme of the conference will be Green and Digital University Transformation, bringing together students and experts from across the network.
The student meeting in Tallinn showcased how much can be achieved through collaboration and underscored the importance of international cooperation.
