Invitation to EstMil.tech 2024, An international military technologies conference:


„Military Technologies: Challenges for Small States“

An international military technologies conference EstMil.tech 2024: „Military Technologies: Challenges for Small States“ will take place at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) on January 24-25, 2024.


The conference is organized by TalTech in cooperation with Estonian Ministry of Defence and Estonian Military Academy. We expect over 300 participants from Estonia, the Nordic-Baltic region and elsewhere to take part in the EstMil.tech 2024.


The conference will cover the topics of the new solutions and technologies on the future battlefield. The role of military AI in future conflicts, but also the challenges and lessons learnt in military AI technology developments. A special focus will be on the measures to increase survivability through electronic warfare technologies. The event will elaborate on models for cooperation with SMEs in the defence industry.


The keynote speakers include General (ret) Jörg Vollmer from Fraunhofer FKIE, a former Chief of the German Army and former Commander of Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum and Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Koch from Fraunhofer FKIE/University of Bonn who has conducted a long-term research for the Bundeswehr and the German defence procurement and industry in the different aspects of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance ISR, Electronic / Navigation Warfare, resources management, and Manned-Unmanned Teaming.

The two days of the event will include a comprehensive scientific conference programme of presentations by the leading experts of the field from Estonia and elsewhere, visits to the research labs, demo area for the companies and developers and a poster area presenting the latest research results.
